Georgia (1-0) opened the season with a 63-3 rout of Tennessee State, scoring touchdowns on its first five possessions before quarterback Gunner Stockton exited after throwing three touchdowns in less than one half. Western Kentucky (0-1) begins the game coming off a 49-14 loss at Nevada but enters with recent pedigree, having finished 9-4 in 2025 with a New Orleans Bowl victory over Southern Miss.
